Le Tapis Vert is a research about lights, shadows and volumes. With one single color of wool I wove during seven months a composition which reveals itself differently depending on the lighting of the room. The shapes allow you to see what you want to imagine and maintain yourself in a mental world for a few seconds.

This tapestry was the main project of my Master’s graduation at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts of Brussels. I worked on an high-warp weaving loom from the 19th century and I used only two different technique : the flat and the knotted point. I developed my own technique to be able to get these different levels.
